I am a GP partner at Grangewood surgery, ongoing since 2013, and have been a member of Sunderland LMC for 2 years holding the position of Vice Chair since May 23. If re-elected I would be pleased to continue to support Sunderland General practice through these exceptionally challenging times, I believe over the last 2 years by working in unison we have managed to navigate difficult situations particularly regarding pressures within workload and finance and as an LMC we continue to engage with local partners to protect the interests of Sunderland GP's and patients alike.
Sunderland has been recognised nationally regarding the approach to Collective Action through the Stronger Together Programme and I believe this demonstrates our ability to work together to ensure we are providing the best service possible within the current restraints affecting general practice.
